AVG antivirus free bug on last update, can't open AVG!

I got AVG working again but without going through the rapair option.
After a few reboots I was able to open AVG and perform a program update but using a later verion from 23 May 2023, then the definitions update was possible, so that issue now seems resolved.

Firstly, AVG why did you appear to delete my account here! I have emails from 2022 from you and my posts are on the forum still!!! And I seem to be logged into my old account after creating a new one. Should I say forced to create a new one as I couldn't login! Very strange!

Anyway.
AVG seems to have installed a bug with the latest update.
After doing a program update two days ago it looked ok, but after I done the computer restart as AVG requested I now have a "x" over the AVG logo and can't open AVG.
The logo sometimes changes and spins and the "x" goes away for a few seconds.

When I left click the logo nothing happens, AVG will not open!
If I hover over the logo I get a pop-up, it says "AVG antivirus free" "! You are unprotected"
Before this I had done the usual update ok, then said I was protected.
Then it said I needed a program update, as above and now it's a problem.
I've gone from a program version :
Release date 17 Feb 2023, 1023, (ver. 23.1.3269-build 23.1.7883.778

To:
Release date 31 Mar 2023 at 16:04 (ver 23.3.3278-build 23.3.8047.781

The Virus definitions was updated to:
21 Apr 2023 at 12:25 (ver 230421-2)
Can't get back into that update screen after the restart!!

If I right click the logo I get a pop-up.
Says "open" "Run smart scan" and "protection is on" is ticked.

So I can't open AVG by clicking "Open" in this new pop-up!

I can't update because I have it set to Manual update previously! "If my settings haven't been overridden" I have very slow internet and have to pick a time to do that!
I can't see an option to add Screenshots here! Only web links!

Any advice welcome.

No issues, we understand. In this case please repair the AVG by referring the below article, reboot the PC and check if the issue persists.
