We would like to remove AVG traces once again from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Free.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST,NORTON or KASPERSKY means please try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the simple steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
Hi everyone! I just made a fresh installation of windows 7, 64bits on a vaio laptop. All the windows updates are installed ok. I'm trying to install AVG Antivirus Free, using the latest offline 64bits installer, but I'm always getting the message: Description: General error (0xd029) error code: 0xE001D029. There are no similar applications (antivirus, antimalware, etc) installed on the laptop. Since I've tried too many times, I used the Avg removal tool to find any traces left from the previous attempts, but found nothing. I even tried to install the product in safe mode. No success. I would like to have your advise. Thank you in advance

NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
