Today I downloaded the AVG Antivirus PRO from the Amazon app store, (06/25/15) however, it is still on version 4.3.0.1. The version on the Google Play store is 4.4. It seems to me that having any antivirus software that is out of date completely defeats the purpose of having it at all. How can I be sure that the virus & malware defiinitions for finding malicious apps or adware on version 4.3.01 are up to date?
Why wouldn't AVG take steps to ensure that any versions of their softwatre being offered on a site as big as Amazon (or any site for that matter) are up to date. I even found multiple "stores" on the Aptoide market offering version 4.4, but I prefer not to use their "unknown sources" to update my old version, (and I can't use the Play Store to update it, since I didn't get it from them.
Does AVG have a place on the website where I can download the APK for version 4.4? (and a way to keep it up to date?)
