AVG appears to be blocking my access to JIRA

Hi folks- I'll start this with the bare minimum to see if it sparks an answer. I'm running Windows 10 latest, with AVG Internet Security latest (22.1.3219). I connect to my corporate network through a VPN (Global Protect). 

If I attempt to connect to my corporate JIRA instance with AVG running, my browser (Chrome, latest) just spins and times out. If I then turn AVG off and reload JIRA, it will connect (after a few seconds of consideration).

I've added exceptions for both the JIRA instance (http://jira.companyname.com/*) as well as my VPN connection (http://gpvpn.companyname.net/*) and no love.

Can anyone tell me what it is I'm missing here?
