Hello Martin,
We're sorry to hear that you feel that way.
From your descritpion, we assume that you're receiving promotional campaign pop-ups/adverts for our other products.
Many of our users find these offers useful, they rely on them to upgrade to our higher levels of protection. By doing so, they help fund your free version of the protection. We also handpick offers from our other products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience.
If you're not interested, please follw the below instructions to disable adverts in your AVG Internet Security:
Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > General > Personal Privacy > Offers > Disable/uncheck the following options under 'Offers':
- Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
- Share app-usage data with AVG so we may offer you 3rd party products.
Once you've disabled the above options, restart your computer once & check if the issue persists.
Let us know if you have further queries.
Why is it that my AVG tells me I am fully protected but still tells me that I have to purchase more programs because there are issues with my AVG cover, surely I can't be fully protected and have issues, I can only assume AVG are trying to scam me into spending more money with them, has anyone else had this problem, and is there an organisation I can complain to as contacting AVG seems to be impossible,
I am going to start looking for an honest virus protector if there is such a thing.
