AVG blocking Citrix Netscaler Gateway Plug In

Hi Karthikeyan,

This worked for us, thank you.  Quick question, what does it mean to change the profile though from "Public" to "Private" in terms of firewall security?  Any information you can provide would be great.

Thanks.
Chad

A couple months ago AVG started blocking my use of the Citrix VPN, Netscaler Gateway.   There is no message, Netscaler just sits and does nothing.  If I disable AVG, it connects immediately.  I cannot find any settings in AVG to allow whitelisting or to allow Netscaler to run. So I have just been disabling AVG every time it reinstates - not a great solution.

Thank you for informing the status.
I am glad to know that this fixed the issue.
The reason for recommending to change the network connection from public to private is because if public network is chosen it means that your PC is connected to a free public network where there are chances for anyone to access the network and steal data, hence AVG Firewall will block most of the connection attempts that was made when the profile is set to Public.
If you are using the secure internet in a home then it is recommended to use the profile as "Private" which will allow most of the communication attempts as the connection is already private and secured.
