AVG blocking incoming emails in Outlook

I can not receive emails into my "Microsoft Mail App" and "Microsoft Office Outlook" when AVG protection is on. To get my email I need to completely turn off AVG protection

We changed our email service provide today, repointed our domain, and so on. The switch went fine with a few typical details we had to work out.  I have AVG Free account.  After the domain transfer Outook no longer would receive incoming emails.  We knew it had to do with the domain transfer changeover but we could not find the issue.  We check all our settings and could not find anything suspicious.  We found your recommendation here to perform an AVG Repair and that fixed it  I run Windows 7 with AVG Free and it normally never has an issue.  Thanks!  I can now receive emails again!

I use AVG Free and Microsoft Outlook. Ever since an AVG update late last year, I've been unable to use the Email Scanning in AVG because it blocks all of my incoming emails. I was hoping a subsequent update would fix the issue, but it's still a problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution?

Well I'm sorry to be writing back since the "Repair" did not fix the problem.  AVG continues to block our incoming emails.  We went ahead and purchased AVG Ultimate and have put in on a few of our work computers, and still AVG Ultimate is blocking all email accounts from receiving emails.  This is serious for our company.  As I wrote previously, we moved our email host to a brand new company, a high-end solid email/webhost company InMotion, and ever since then we've had this problem with AVG preventing us from getting emails.  At first, it was not issue but within a few hours is when we all began to have our emails blocked.  To fix the problem, we shut of AVG, then we can receive emails, then we turn AVG back on.  That's a termporary fix so we need a fix asap.  Please email me at if you can.  We now have a fully purchased version of AVG on all our computers.  Thank you, Jeff

Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings to fix the issue : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from Public to Private (If it is in Private, change it to Public) and check the status.
