For some unknown reason AVG recently began blocking MS Outlook from receiving emails. I use a PC desktop version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021 and the only way I can receive email is to turn off the AVG email protection. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled AVG but that did not fix the issue. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any suggestion for how to fix it?

I am using an up-to-date AVG Antivirus Free version 24.6.9241.0 with UI version 1.0.749 on a Windows Home 11, version 23H2 laptop. When I have the AVG Email Shield “on” I get the following error message:
“Task '<email address deleted for privacy> - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC1A): 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.'”
When I turn off the Email Shield it works just fine. A few weeks ago, while using MS Outlook (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021) I noticed all of the church people that used Gmail accounts emails were being kicked back to me as undeliverable. In an effort to find a solution for that problem I followed the direction of some Microsoft Forum experts and every since then I have had this problem with AVG. Not only did their suggestion not fix the Gmail problem it created this new one and I cannot find the same instructions again so I can undo it. I really hope you can help me with at least the AVG email shield problem.
