Avg blocking my M/S outlook 2010

Hello Screenu Yadavali.  AVG.
Thank you for your reply.  I have followed your instructions and unticked the "Scan outbound emails (SMTP) checkbox but i am sorry to report that nothing has altered.  Outlook still tells me that there is a send receive error.  I tried to send a test email to myself but it wouldnt go, so I turned off AVG and the email to myself  sent ok and and received ok. then I turned AVG back on.  I then opened up AVG menu again to check theat the box was still unticked and it was so I have done everything you suggested…

Why are you still pushing this update 2 weeks after you have discovered an issue? I have just spent 45 minutes with your support people trying this and that until the next person said this was a known issue? You have just wasted my time. It also gives no confidence to the statement that you will fix this "soon". My program was updated today and caused a problem you have known about since at least 29 August.

Frederick,
Hope you have found a solution.  I just had the same problem and solved it by turning off totally AVG's email protection/shield.  Now my Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 works just fine.  AVG also messed up my PIA VPN.  Had to enter an exception for PIA in AVG and uninstall and reinstall my PIA VPN.  AVG free is a big PITA.

Hi, AVG Free is blocking my M/S outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 PC.  Google and everything else is working ok.  I have discovered that if I turn AVG Free off, my Outlook 2010 starts working ok again but of course I cant use my computer without Virus protection.  I am almost 80 years of age and not as PC literate as many younger folk.  Could you please advise what can be done.  If you need to contact me by email I can only receive on my Google GMail account   (Email id removed)   as my M/S Outlook not working as I said before or you could text me on Aus… (Phone number removed)… regards…Frederick
