AVG blocking ScanSnap IX1500

I am having the same issue.  I cannot add a screenshot.  This seems to be a known problem and has been happening since 2017.  If I uninstall AVG, my  scanner works great. I have added the exception to not block the app and have checked my firewall settings.  Can someone please help so that I can continue to use AVG

Today I made the mistake of allowing AVG to block files that were associated with ScanSnap IX1500. Now when I scan the software says the following "Failed to save the scanned data". Can not access the folder. Anyone hear of such things and how do I unblock the AVG from ScanSnap Home software?
