Hi Jeremy,
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Please right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider to disable AVG temporarily. I would also suggest you to disable AVG firewall component alone and check if the issue is resolved.
If yes, check if AVG firewall is configured with below recommended settings or not.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profile and change it to Private.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Policies->System Rules and set all rules to "Enabled".
Make sure the above settings are applied and let us know if the issue persist.
I run a local Oracle database on a W7 computer. The latest version of AVG blocks connections to the database on port 1521.
Before AVG: netstat output is:
TCP 127.0.0.1:49183 T16020:1521 ESTABLISHED
After AVG netstat output is:
TCP 127.0.0.1:49209 T16020:1521 TIME_WAIT
How do I enable these connections?
Also, I don't see a way to temporarily turn off AVG.
