AVG blocks file & printer sharing after Win 11 upgrade

Upgraded to Win 11 Pro this morning and now AVG keeps blocking file & printer sharing requests from another desktop on my same home private network - even though this is allowed in the settings.  Anyone know how can I fix this?

Hi Charlie,

We're happy to help.
Did you configure the Firewall settings as per the recommendation?

1, Open AVG Internet Security and click the Hacker Attacks tile.
2, Click Firewall options ▸ Network profiles - Change all the Networks to "Private" - Click OK to confirm it.

1, Open the AVG Internet Security user interface and click the Hacker Attacks tile.
2, Click Settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner.
3, Enable the "Internet connection sharing mode".
4, Click on System Rules - Enable the "Allow File and Printer sharing" and "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" - Click OK to confirm it. Please make sure all the tasks are enabled.

Check the status and keep us informed here.

I did the re-install as per your instructions, and so far (after 2 hours) it appears to have corrected the problem. Thanks for the help & instructions!

And please focus on the fact that before today there were no issues at all.  This issue began immediately after my desktop completed the upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11.  My wife's desktop is still on Win 10.

I cannot find anything that says "firewall options", Nor do I find "Network Profiles" anywhere.

And "File and Printer sharing" and "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" are already enabled for private networks.

I did the re-install as per your instructions, and so far (after 2 hours) it appears to have corrected the problem. Thanks for the help & instructions!

Thank you for writing back to us, Charlie.
We suggest you reinstall AVG Internet Security and check for the issue status.
The email instruction has been sent to you. Please check and revert to us.
Thank you.
