Every time I restart my PC, the same problems happen again. In additon I have continued problems with my e-mail connections using Outlook. I have tried repairing AVG but this makes no difference. So I have uninstalled AVG. The result is that my PC works perfectly. So I am sorry but unless you have a creative solution, I shall abandon AVG. That is a shame as I am an investor in the shares/stock!
Hello Mike.
We're here to help.
This isn't expected behavior.
Could you disable individual components in AVG to check which component is causing the issue?
I have used AVG protection for many years. But with my new PC, AVG prevents me from using the Windows Start button and the Search facility in the Task bar. AVG also prevents me from opening jpg files attached to e-mails. Other than disabling AVG every time I want to use these functions, how do I correct this please?
Thanks – I have tried disabling each of the individual components in turn but this makes no difference to the ability to open a jpg from MS Outlook. The only thing that does work is to disable AVG completely. However, having done so and then re-enabled AVG, jpg’s can continue to be opened. The same thing happens with the Windows Start button.
Mike, your previous message says email attachments are opening fine and Windows search function is working fine.
Are you experiencing same issues again?

Thank you but it is simply not worth the aggravation. I shall rely on Wndows Defender instead.
