After Reinstallation with the newest version of AVG Antivirus:
Same software version and UI version as before.
Outlook 2007 shows an error message while connecting to my AOL mail account: "Von dem Server mit dem sie verbunden sind wird ein Sicherheitszertifikat verwendet, das nicht überprüft werden kann" ("The server you are connected to uses a security certificate, which cannot be proved.").
Mailserver *.imap.mail.aol.com certificate created by AVG Web expires soon.
Wayne, we request you to uninstall and reinstall AVG Internet Security program on your PC to check with the issue.

We request you to disable AVG Antivirus Free components one by one (open AVG Antivirus Free > Menu > settings > components) and let us know the component which is causing this issue.
Dennis, I'd request to export the security certificate from AVG settings and install it on your email client.
Open AVG, click Menu > Settings > Components > Email Shield > Customize > SSL Scanning. Then, click on 'Export certificate', save the file on your PC. Then import it on your Outlook. If the issue persists, please disable AVG Protection temporarily (right click AVG system tray icon and use On/Off slider) and verify the issue.
