Hello Christopher,
I will help you with the necessary information on these charges.
You have been charged for an automatic renewal of AVG Secure VPN on 12/15/18 and for AVG Internet Security - Unlimited on 2019.2.4.
If you are not using these subscriptions, you can get refund for the recent renewal of AVG Internet Security Unlimited renewed on 2019.2.4.
We regret to inform you that we are unable to process a refund or offer a prorated refund for the renewal happened on 2018.12.15.
According to our refund policy, you are entitled to a refund within 30 days of the date your payment was processed. Unfortunately, in your case, this time frame has been surpassed.
I have cancelled automatic renewal for all your active AVG subscriptions. You will not be charged by AVG automatically in the future.
Shall we go ahead with the refund for the recent renewal of AVG Internet Security Unlimited (CAD 99.99)?
I have been charged but I cancelled long ago. Also when I look at my account it says, NO SUBSCRIBTIONS AND NO PAYMENT HISTORY. YET YOU CHARGED ME HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS . THIS IS OUTRAGOUS AND I SEE YOU DO IT ALL THE TIME. DOES THE FBI NEED TO GET INVOLVED?
I am troubled by unsolicited credit card charges from AVG and Digital River. In around September last year, my son reinstalled AVG's free virus checker on my PC after a major reset. I emphasise FREE, and no different from previous installations he, I and others have successfully made over the years - and much appreciated.
However, I have recently been noticing unsolicited AVG charges showing up on my credit card, as follows:
15 December 2018 - DRI.AVG Technologies - C$79.99
25 December 2018 - DRI.AVG Technologies - C$69.99
5 February 2019 - DigitalRiver Ireland - C$97.41
This is a total of C$247.39 of unsolicited charges that I would like reversed forthwith.
In case you might think that I've signed up for three additional AVG products during December 2018 and February 2019, please be aware that I have not intended to do so, nor have I used any of them. I'm sure your usage records will confirm this. But I have frequently been pestered by unsolicited AVG efforts to lure me into purchasing additional AVG products - sometimes to the extent that I might have gone 2 or 3 steps into the "offer" before being able to tell that the offering is not part of the free AVG software I already have installed, but requires a "free trial period" (which is always a trap for anyone who might forget to opt out before completion of the free trial period) or is an additional AVG product, either of which requiring payment on credit card particulars AVG evidently still has on record from the original "free" installation.
I look forward to your prompt action on this and a refund to my credit card of C$247.39.
Rgds,
Chris Stanton
