I just renewed my AVG TuneUp unlimited subscription (BEFORE the old one expired, mind you), which includes renewal of AVG Cleaner PRO for Android. Renewing before expiration was SUPPOSED to prevent interruption of service; however, all the Android devices reverted back to the free version. I was able to log into my AVG account through the app on 1 device and reactivate PRO, but on both other devices AVG Cleaner keeps reverting back to free as soon as I close the app. IF I'm lucky, I can reactivate PRO after opening the app again, but not always.
I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, clearing caches, data, etc. etc. in addition to the installation and activation instructions that AVG provided in the email receipt. AVG support claimed to not understand my initial request for assistance, and has not responded to my detailed, step-by-step explanatory reply.
Does anyone actually know how to resolve this annoying glitch, (aside from ditching AVG altogether or tossing my phones into a chipper shredder)?
