Hi George,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
From your description, it seems that you've hibernated MS apps while optimizing your computer using AVG TuneUp.
If AVG TuneUp is installed : Open AVG TuneUp - Speed Up - Show background & startup programs - scroll down to find 'Programs that are sleeping' - Expand it by clicking on the arrow beside it - check if MS apps are listed. If listed, click on Wake beside them & later click on ignore beside them in the same page (at top) to skip scanning those apps in future.
If you haven't reinstalled AVG programs, please reinstall them & try the above steps.
We're more than glad to offer our additional support, if you feel that this process is complicated.
Been using AVP Paid subscription for years on many computers. No problems. I bought an hp tower business computer 2 years ago and at some point all the MS Apps quit working. Photo, Snip, video, calculator. A reboot would help occasionally. I thought it happened after a MS update. After trying several options to fix, I restored computer to factory & reloaded all software. A few months later the same occurred. I restored all again. Then it did it again & I simply used my backup computer. Today, after 8 months, I started over and restored computer to factory specs and started loading my software & checking the apps after each reload. They quit working after loading my AVG subscription. I uninstalled AVG and they worked again I am thinking AVG is the culprit. Any suggestions?
