I replied to the email that was sent and received this reply:

Another epic fail for AVG! Seriously considering scrapping all subscriptions as I am not very impressed with AVG service.
Why does the AVG Customer Support system not recognise when all the relevant field have been populated.
AVG VPN reduces my internet speed by 50% and I want to cancel the subscription and get a refund.
