From your description, it possibly seems to be a false positive. We appreciate your attempt in sharing us the link for screenshot. Unfortunately, it isn't accessible at our end.

After verifying that …
… "Virus definitions are up to date"
… "AntiVirus Free is up to date"
… Google Chrome browser resets were done, and is up to date
I restarted my Windows 10 laptop.
Today, the same AVG intervention occurred as in my original posting …

Please advise further about resolving this issue.
This suddenly started happening to me today as well.
Thanks, Dinesh, for your prompt reply.
AVG Screen message at bottom left corner states: "YOU'RE UP TO DATE"
I accept & apply all AVG updates automatically.
AVG version statuses are stated as …
"Virus definitions are up to date
Release date was August 15, 2023, 03:19 AM (ver. 230815-0)"
"AntiVirus Free is up to date
Release date was July 20, 2023, 8:42 PM (ver. 23.73294 - build 23.7.8348439 )"
I have restarted my computer and so far have not received any further AVG interventions for the phishing issue.
My link to the original screen capture is still valid; sorry you can't open it.
I will try including the image here, directly in this note …
… that didn't work, paste is not operative.
Will try to use the "image" insertion feature on the tool bar …
OK, that worked.
