Good morning,
I recently upgraded windows to the 2004/may update. (not sure if this is relevant)
I today tried to use avg driver updater and was issued with a security window stating an app had caused an alert due to win 32/coin miner.
I blocked the app from being used as obviously something has infected my computer and now I cant use driver updater for which I have paid for a yearly sub.
Is avg driver updater now infected and if so how do I remove?
Any advise appreciated.
Thank you.

It seems windows 10 is targetting avg products as malware ect.
Just my first thoughts.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi,
I uninstalled the program and removed all traces ect (registry).
Downloaded program and tried to re-install. This got blocked by windows defender.
The only way I could get it to install and work is by allowing the program access.
So, im still not sure if my pc has "coinminer and slimware" still on it.
Ive done x2 scans with defender x1 online and x1 offline. Ive now purchased Malwarebytes and that does not flag anything up?
So, again! I still believe windows 10 2004/may update is targetting avg products for some reason.
Thank you
