Hi Meredith,
This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program. Also, the setup file of Driver Updater is legitimate.
Please let us know the reason that made you think that AVG Antivirus is blocking the Driver Updater download. Do you receive any message from AVG?
If so, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
I just purchased a two-year subscription to AVG Driver Updater and every time I try to download the program my AVG Anti-Virus program prevents it saying that a virus was detected. I either need to get this virus issue cleared up or have my money refunded promptly. Thank you!
I went back and attempted to download the program again and managed to capture a screenshot of the message I received. It only appears in the bottom right of my screen for about five seconds before disappearing. However, you can see from the download panel at the bottom of my screen that the file is marked as "virus detected." The message is actually coming from my Windows Defender program which I have not been able to find a way to temporarily disable, although I hesitate to do that due to a rash of viruses I've dealt with recently.

Thank you for the screenshot.
This seems to be a false detection from Windows defender.
Please disable Windows "Real Time Protection" and "Smart Screen" and then try to download AVG Driver Updater. Once this is done, you need to add this AVG Driver Updater application to Windows Defender exception.
