Hello Basil, do you use any email client like Outlook to check your email or is it a web based email?

Hi Rajendra
My internet service provider is iinet.net.au and my email service provider is mail.iinet.net.au. I have contacted them regarding this issue and they replied that there is no problem on their end. Before switching to windows 8 mail I used microsoft office outlook. I had no problems when using this.
Thanks for your quick responce.

Hi Basil, sorry to know that. I have sent you an email along with the steps to be followed to get this issue fixed. Thanks.
Thanks. Running the AVG remover tool and then reinstalling AVG antivirus appears to have corrected the problem. I had previously tried uninstalling and reinstalling AVG but that had no effect. Running the removal tool seems to do more than simply uninstaling. I shall monitor the problem for a little while to see if it reoccurs.
