AVG Firewall having a problem with ISP/Router?

Hello  David,
There is no need to provide any logs for this issue. The mentioned issues are because of AVG Firewall network profile types or the  AVG system rules. In this case, you can change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and check if you can access remote desktop/outlook startup/internet etc with enabled AVG Internet Security.
Best regards,
Alok.

Hello Alok,

Thanks for answer howewer this generic answer wont resolve issue. I already tried mentioned solution before I posted this question - this did not helped on any of the affected PC's.

Is there another solution?

Many Thanks
David

Hello,

My name is David and I'm working for IT Support company and we are reseller of AVG Products.
It sounds to me like a good idea to start this discussion here, because these issues that we come across are really strange.

Some of the customers reported that the firewall part of their AVG Internet Security causing slow start-up of Outlook or some customers reported that their software for remote desktop connection wont connect to remote computer until they turn off AVG Firewall. When we had their Laptops/Computers in ours workshop they had no mentioned issues. Soon as the Machines been delivered back to customers and connected to their broadband issue did reappeared on machines.

At some cases problem disappear when router was replaced in some cases no.
Did somebody ever come across this issues, and if yes does somebody know what exactly is causing this issue?

Any ideas or suggestions will be helpful. If I can provide any logs please ask me.
David, you can provide the log files by using sysinfo tool (www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) in the same computer which have the Firewall issues, you can enter this case number (05489659) and your email address to find your log files in our FTP. You can also ask your customer to contact us (http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical) directly, we will check with their computer and we will help them to fix this issue in no time.
Best regards,
Alok.
