This issue will occur if you have old version of AVG. Make sure that you have latest version of 18.6.

Now I'm confused and not a little annoyed. You want a screenshot for "verification" - of what? I have better things to do with my time than to pretend I have a problem with AVG. Apart from which the "Protection Disabled" interface screen is available only randomly and I have no wish to leave my system unprotected while I go through the process of mailing a copy to you guys. If you think I'm scamming please say so. I realise I'm using a free installation but right now I don't feel like a potential customer exactly.
A repeat of my Aug 8th question. AVG Free disables itself randomly. I have run the repair tool and at least scheduled scans are now recognised but every now and then a yellow exclamation mark appears on the AVG icon and when I click on the icon the basic AVG screen is shown only in red saying Protection is Disabled and showing a "Fix it now" button, the use of which switches on protection. Bit worrying this because it means physical monitoring to ensure protection. Am I the only one with this problem?

Thank you for the info. We need screenshot and logs when AVG is disabled. If your Protection gets disabled again, please do not perform any troubleshooting steps, take a screenshot of it and run AVG Sysinfo tool again using that previous email sent by me.
Once we received the required data, I will escalate this case to our senior team for further assistance.
