AVG Free expired -- still working?

We would like to clarify that AVG Antivirus free version does not have an expiration period. 
Please uninstall AVG Antivirus free, reboot the PC, and then reinstall the program and check if that helps.

After uninstalling the program, please reboot the PC to apply the changes and then install AVG Antivirus free using the below article.

Does getting the "Your AVG Free has expired" nag mean that AVG Free has quit working and updating? 

Can I just ignore the popup nag?
