I understand the inconvenience caused, let's work together to fix this issue. In this case, I request you to disable AVG Free Antivirus components (Open AVG Free Antivirus > Menu > settings > components) one by one and check which AVG free Antivirus component is blocking your Canon Maxify MB2720.
Best regards,
Alok.
I have AVG Free version 17.9.3040 and am running Windows 7. I just got a new Canon Maxify MB2720 and am connecting it wirelessly. AVG is blocking the printer (when I turn off AVG, the print goes through). I have searched the internet for a solution, but all the solutions involve going into the Firewall settings. AVG Free does not have Firewall as an option, so I cannot go in and change any settings.
Two other computers in our house use AVG and are able to print to the new printer without a problem. They are running the exact same version of AVG Free and Windows 7.
I was previously using Avast Free, but was having the same issues. Since two other computers in my house are using AVG (as noted above), I uninstalled Avast and installed AVG. I don't know how this could make a difference, but just noting the course of events.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Thank you for confirming the issue is not related with AVG. We appreciate your time and co-operation.
Well, after more exploring, I ended up uninstalling AVG altogether and guess what – still can't print! Even though the Canon technical support told me it was my antivirus software, apparently it is not! I also disabled Windows Firefall and it won't print. So back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help, but I guess it's not a problem with AVG after all. I'll go back to Canon.
