AVG Free Virus Protection

I downloaded your product and now everything is frozen!  No matter what I try to open I get the message "unable to start correctly (Oxc0000005)".  I've tried to remove the product and it says it's already been removed.  I hope I didn't download a virus.  Now what do I need to do?
