Thank you for the quick reply! I had already uninstalled AVG Free followed by running the AVG Remover Tool. I then did a custom install of Antivirus_Free_1892.exe and selected "Basic Protection" At this time I am not encountering trial messages in AVG Free AntiVirus. My about screen shows I'm running AGV Free AntiVirus version 17.2.3008. I don't know if I'll be encountering trial messages again in 30 days by this method. Do you suggest I uninstall again now and install Antivirus_Free_1817.exe?

I performed a custom install of the latest (17.2.3008) AVG Free and selected Basic Protection (NOT Internet Security 30 day trial). However, after 30 days I still got a message that my Internet Security Trial had expired, which crippled my access to AVG Free Dashboard. I read your support message boards and found it suggested to start the uninstall process and I’d be given the option to downgrade to AVG Free. BUT when I ran the uninstaller the ONLY choice presented was to Repair or Completely uninstall AVG Free. I tried Repair, but I still get the message that my Internet Security Trial had expired and my AGV Free Dashboard was still crippled. How do I get full functioning AVG Free?

I am having the same issue. I have had the Fee version on my PC for years and now when I open AVG or try to scan files, I am advised the security trial has expired.
I have deleted AVG via the Control Panel and also by using the AVG removal tool. After reinstalling AVG Free using the link above I am still getting the same message that the security trial has expired.
Can you please advise how to fix this issue as my PC is unprotected and I would rather not switch to a different program as I have always liked yours and it has never let me down.

I regret for the inconvenience caused. Please follow the below steps to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer and check if that fix this issue:
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compability)
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"
