Hello,
I just downloaded AVG a few hours ago due to my network provider shutting off my internet connection because of supposed spam being sent out from and email address that I do not use but cannot delete. They said they would turn my internet back on for 6 hours for me to download this antivirus system and run a full scan to see if I have a virus on my computer. I have started the scan and for the last hour and a half to two hours it has been frozen at 50% on file C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\FLTMGR.SYS
The report also says that it is currently scanning: Rootkits, no threats found and has scanned 140780 objects thus far. But as I said, it hasn't moved in over an hour.
I am still able to use my computer as normal, but am worried that if there is something on my computer and it doesn't get noticed and fixed in time, that my internet will be shut off again and I will be left with nothing. This is the second time my internet provider has shut my internet off due to some sort of spamming. The last time was just three days ago and all they had me do was change my wifi rounter's password, which I have done again.
I use this computer for schooling and need help ASAP.
Please and thank you,
Tina
