Hello David,
I understand your concern. You can download the AVG Internet Security in your computer and use the same license used in your father's computer. Please download and run the AVG Clear tool to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product. After you uninstall AVG completely from your computer, you can install the latest version of AVG Internet Security from this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security and activate the product using the license number you have. If you face any difficulties, feel free to contact us.
Thank you Karthikeyan, this worked a treat.

Hi Guys, I have two problems listed below but the first problem is relating to an ASUS X556U laptop.
POBLEM 1. Began having problems with AVG after a trial period finished. I right clicked and hit unistall to try and change it to the free version untill I was able to talk to you about the second problem I have listed. However I did not get an option to change it or repair it only to uninstall, which is what I finished up doing or at least I thought so. I then tried to install AVG Internet Security which cancelled the installation and said I have the latest version installed. I went into control panel - programs & features: but AVG is not listed. I went to Windows defener it is saying AVG is still protecting me. The AVG short cut had been removed from the system tray and desktop but was still in the start menu. I then ran your removal tool which removed the start menu folder and shortcut. I get an AVG Diagnostics message at start up stating. Following AVG processes failed: - avguix.exe - Would you like to send the report to AVG for analysis? - which I have now done twice. I have downloaded Avast to try and keep me protected untill I can get this problem sorted, which says it is working however security is still saying I am running AVG. I have tried changing antivirus apps but all options to do this are greyed out. It says Avat is off - AVG is on - Windows defender is off. Can someone please help??? I am becoming very dejected wih this problem.
POBLEM 2. I have purchased 2 Licenses for AVG Internet Security for around 6 years now. One is currently active on the computer I am using at the moment. The other was used on my mothers laptop until she became unwell, then I switched it to my fathers laptop. He passed away in July this year but I am unsure what has become of the laptop. I would like to use the 2nd license on my laptop considering I am paying for it and it is valid untill 2019-05-07. Is there any way I can do this without having to uninstall from my deceased fathers laptop? It does pose a dilema, can you please help.
