Avg has destroyed my computer. Is it a virus?

Thank you for your calm reply to my angry question.

it is for windows 10, avg antivirus free, version 20.8.3147. When i try to uninstall it, there is an error message, saying, the application was unable to start (0xc0000142).

please help me restore my wifi and uninstall AVG.

AVG blocked my wifi. There is no way I can find to turn it back on.

AVG refuses to uninstall.

It bombards me with error messages.

In 30 years on computers, I have never encountered such a persistent, purely destructive virus or malware. The thought that this is designed to HELP PEOPLE is mindblowing. 

Please help me get this monstrosity off my machine,
