Hi, I have always had Norton Anti-virus on my laptop. This expired a couple of days ago and a friend recommended AVG free trial to see what I thought. I deleted all Norton software from my laptop prior to downloading the free protection pro trial. Since downloading this, my laptop has slowed considerably and going on the internet is just rediculous it is so slow ! Is this normal? I know it has nothing to do with my ISP as other devices in our home that we go online with are still running at the same speed they always have. Any suggestions? or should I just delete AVG and go back to Norton.
Tried to keep it to one thread but when I clicked on posts pending there was nothing showing so I wrote it again. Anyway, I had enough of the speed issue, tried following instructions but it didn't work. Now I'm trying to get AVG out of my computer but it won't allow me to uninstall Zen. It's telling me that I can't uninstall it until all other AVG software has been uninstalled. I have uninstalled everything but Zen and have restarted twice, but it still won't uninstall it. It also froze my laptop while I was trying to uninstall it and couldn't restart it until I took my battery out and started again. Not very impressed with this product. Please advise how to get Zen off my laptop.

In case if you had installed 'trial' version of AVG PC Tune Up and optimized your PC and if you had not uninstalled the program still, we suggest you to follow the instructions in http://avgread.me/1OePtYK .To uninstall AVG, we suggest you to download 'AVG Remover Tool' by clicking on ( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After restarting your computer, you may need to manually delete any remaining AVG files and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. If you wish to install AVG Free without AVG ZEN, we recommend you to install 'AVG Antivirus Free' by clicking on http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Antivirus_Free_692.exe .Thank you.
