AVG has stopped working since windows 10 update and won't recognise my licence number

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you. We suggest you to run remover tool to completely uninstall AVG and reinstall it using offline installation file based on your OS ( 32 bit or 64 bit).
To run remover tool, please visit http://www.avg.com/tools#tba2 and click on "AVG Remover" to download the remover tool and run it on your PC. It will ask you to select which product you would like to uninstall. Please select "AVG Protection" and follow the setup instructions to uninstall AVG. Once the tool is run, your PC will automatically reboots. After the restart, please check if a folder with name AVG Remover is created under C:\ and remove it.

AVG has stopped working since that latest windows 10 update.  I have tried re entering my licence number which is recognised but still cannot re activate AVG
