Avg icon on task bar always has an exclamation

Since a recent upgrade to my free AVG protection app, the AVG icon on my bottom right task bar, which appears automatically when AVG opens during startup, always has an exclamation point in it.  When I open AVG, two areas pop out:  my Web Tune-Up is disables\d, and my PC tune-up has expired.  I have chosen NOT to buy the PC tune-up.  And when I enable the Web Tune-Up and then open up my Chrome browser, AVG has become my home page instead of Google (which I prefer).  When I change my home page back to Google, it disables the plugins for Web Tune-up and causes the "!" point to appear in the middle of the AVG icon in the task bar.  It never did this before that AVG update.  How can I get rid of the "!" point.  NOTHING is wrong with my AVG and I am tired of checking AVG every time I start up my laptop.

Hello Kathleen,

If you are using google chrome as default browser, the home page will be changed to AVG  as default. So if you wish, you can uninstall your AVG Web Tune Up using the steps provided in this link http://avgread.me/1KLkDpN .
