AVG Internet Security error, cannot un-install or re-install

We could see that you've reached us through another post and the issue got fixed after a re-installation. If you need any help, please let us know.

My Internet Security suddenly gives an error after updating AVG:
'Well this is embarrising…: Cancel / Restart.'
Both options won't work.
I did an un-install, but still AVG starts up, No AVG visible in the Start-menu though.
A new installation keeps running, without result…
Please advise.
