Thank you for choosing AVG for your devices. There is no difference in the protection level or the features included in both AVG Anti Virus or AVG Internet Security - Unlimited. The major differences are, AVG Internet Security - Unlimited does not require a license number as it is activated using the registered email address and password. And, it can be installed on unlimited no. of Windows and Android devices.
We'd request you to login to AVG app as per the instructions in this article to activate the new subscription. You need not go through this activation procedure if you were already using an unlimited version of AVG. Since the currently installed AVG application needs a license number to activate, the new subscription is not activated automatically.
Upon successful activation, the expiry date on the program should read 28th June 2020. If you need help to install it on another Windows device, click on this link. If you need assistance to install AVG on an Android device, please follow the instructions provided below.
1. Open Google play store app on your device.
2. Search for AVG Antivirus.
3. Locate and install the free version of the app.
4. Now open the installed app.
5. Tap on drawer (3 lines) on top-left of the app.
6. Select AVG Account.
7. Enter your My Account email address and password.
The paid app should get installed automatically.
Hi, I have just renewed what I thought was my AVG Antivirus to see that it is now called AVG Internet Security. What is the difference and is it better? I am not sure if it is working properly or not? I got an email from AVG confirming the purchase, however it also says on my AVG subscription that it expires 8th July 2018. When I purchased it, it says it was for multiple devices also. I did not have to activate anything or that, so I am wondering where have I gone wrong? and also how do I get it onto another device? Hoping that all made sense. I have tried to talk online for help but we got cut off and have not been able to access them again. All the help info shows pictures of what you get when you download an all that and I never got those options at all, especially the part about activating it!
