AVG Internet Security Is TRASH

Dear customer, we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
I have sent an email, please confirm the activation code you received from the reseller to assist you with activating AVG paid features.

Absolutely TRASH!!! Been having the same problem with the "Your AVG is activating advanced security features" popup.  It just goes and goes and goes and doesn't close.
Also, the so-called "Enhanced Firewall" is bug-ridden. It does not remember your choices when "Ask" is selected.  It just keeps bringing up the same popups about the same files and processes, and whether they should be allowed or denied.
I've been using AVG for years, but I have become aware that in tha past year or so, their build releases have been sub-standard.
Their Customer Sevice is a joke. It is like talking to a child. They know NOTHING, and they are of NO HELP!
I have uninstalled AVGIS many times, including using avgclear.exe.  The problems still persist.
This is what happens when one comes to depend and rely on foreigners.  I need to find a MADE IN U.S.A. Internet Security solution, and forget about these apps that come from third-world, poverty stricken hell-holes.

I just got back from the store.  I purchase AVG Internet Security with 1gb usb drive.  I pull the usb drive from the box and remove it from the wrapper.  I pull the cap from the body of the drive; the usb connection and circuitry come with the cap.  The body of the drive (brittle plastic) crumbles in my hand.  I plug the drive into my computer to find that it is blank.  Great.  Now I have to get online and download the security soft ware.

TANGENT -
why do I have to download security software.  sure if I'm already in your ecosystem I can just get a new key.  But if I am a new customer I have to download the protection.  In my head:
AVG: the internet is a scarry place full of bad people and bad things
   ME: like what?
AVG: well, like hackers.  they steal you personal info and data and can even steal your money from your bank
  ME: oh no!
AVG: then there are vira (viruses?).  they can mess up your files and even make your computer not run
  ME: oh no
AVG: you need protection.  you should never get online with out protection.  you should never download files/programs with out protection.  and you should never run those downloaded files without protection
ME: ok; what should I do?
AVG: get on the internet (w/o protection), download files (one of which will be a setup program)(w/o protection), and execute at leaste one of those files (w/o protection)
  ME: hey... wait a minute
END TANGENT

I got AVG Internet Security up and running - sort of.  I need to enter my activation code.  Problem is, I can't.  There just is now in app way of entering the information.  I downloaded the install from:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiJz9XHqKbjAhUZOs0KHYh6CAUQFjAJegQIABAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.avg.com%2Fen-us%2Finstallation-files-prd-gsr&usg=AOvVaw0i0D2_2_3YKyBzlNuU3GrZ

So now avg is on my system; how do I log in?  there is no "my account" there is no "log in"  there is NO FOOKING WAY TO LOG IN!  So how do you fix sheet software developed by hacks?  uninstall and start over.

BTW: HELL No I don't want chrome.

Now I'm stuck at Log in to your AVG Account  : how many gigs does it take to log in?- reinstall fixed the missing "my avg" in the top right but I still can't log in.

Great! another restart and finaly avg (crap) decided to log me in - now I'm stuck there!  "Your AVG is activating advanced security features" popup isn't doing anything.

what a nightmare - screw this - reimaging drive
