AVG Internet Security keeps reverting to AVG AntiVirus Free

I have been having this same problem.  The above suggestions did not work.  Please cancel the rest of my subscription.  I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of attention to this problem.  I have spent  2 valuable days working on this.  Your product is just not worth it.

I am having the exact same problem now - just randomly reverted to AVG Free - when my subscription online says active, I enter the key its says expired.

Mine auto renewed for another 12 months on 5th September 2018.
I call the AVG helpdesk and they give me a run around saying they don't know whats causing it. Seriously, what kind of company is this. I've had this subscription renewing for over 4 years now, the quality sure has dropped.
Please have this fixed ASAP

I have a question about the recurring problem of my AVG Internet Security constantly reverting to AVG Antivirus Free.

Back in November 2017, my AVG account automatically renewed my subscription of AVG Internet Security for 3 computers for two years. A few weeks ago, we replaced two of our three aging laptops, and I tried to transfer my subscription across to these two new machines. At first (within the first few minutes after installation) the AVG Internet Security product would be shown. But after a reboot, the product would revert back to AVG Antivirus Free!

When I went to AVG MyAccount just now, it is reporting that I don't have any valid subscriptions. How is that possible? When I checked recent invoices (in AVG MyAccount) and my recent credit card payments, I can see that the AVG subscription automatically renewed using PayPal Express with the correct dollar amount. So I presume my subscription should be active?

Can someone please assist me? I am sure I must be doing something stupid.

PS I found an Email from AVG dated 27th October 2017 teaching me to transfer these licenses. I followed the instructions very carefully, but to no avail. Help!

I understand the inconvenience caused, let's work together to fix this issue. I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Internet Security. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version. After reboots, please follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security) to download/install/activate  AVG Internet Security.

I am sorry to hear about this. Please remove AVG traces completely using AVG clear tool as per the steps mentioned in this article ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ).
Then reinstall AVG Internet Security by following this article ( https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security ).
Keep us informed about the status.

mine also keeps reverting to free and it hasnt updated the virus  for a month and wont do it keeps saying unexpected error . i have tried uninstalling but it says install failed which is not what i was trying to do  iwas trying to uninstall and reinstall help !!!

i downloaded the remover already but it wont work !

Let's have a look at it together. Provide us the contact number which you used to reach us. 
Let us know the version of AVG you have installed. 
Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> About -> check its version.

I have the same problem following a clean re-install of Windows 7.
Internet Security, installed via Zen, runs until PC reboot, after which it reverts to Anitvirus free. I have uninstalled using the avgclear tool & re-installed (AVG_Ultimate_1490) several times, but the same reversion to AV free still occurs. Subscription cancellation imminent if it's not fixed.

Found a fix - worked for me anyway - installed an older version "AVG_Protection_806".
