AVG Internet Security not doing pc scan?

). If the issue persists, we suggest you to reinstall your AVG program. Please remove conflicting antivirus products if any (http://avgread.me/1K1IqEh) and then remove AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After restarting your computer, you may need to manually delete any remaining AVG files and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then install your 'AVG Internet Security' by clicking on http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_742.exe .Thank you.

I have an issue with AVG scanning my pc. it says it is starting however it does not. it just sits there on 0% not doing anything.
