Hello Jennifer,
Let's have a look into this for you.
Does this pop-up occur on a particular browser or with all browsers? Could you share us the screenshot of the pop-up to check and assist further?
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on "Answer" & then click on the "Image" [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
The popup is shown by Firefox, probably when/if it detects we are using AVG, regardless of the version. I haven't seen it in machines running Avast or Symantec, which I extensively use.
I found this thread while looking for a way to disable it - but it has to come from Mozilla, not AVG. If I found a solution I'll come back and post it.
I keep getting this along the top of my page, yet I'm on AVG Free Antivirus. I shouldn't be getting these and there seems to be no way to make them disappear. This is super frustrating and it's happening on pages where I don't have accounts or need to log in.
Thank you for the screenshot, Jennifer.
Customers were facing this issue after a recent update in Firefox browser. However, this issue has been fixed from our end. This is why you received such message.
Please check whether you are using the latest version [19.5] of AVG AntiVirus free (Open AVG AntiVirus free > Menu > About). If you have a updated version, please go to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/restore-logins/ to download the Firefox extension. This extension will restore saved passwords and logins without the need to go through all of the steps.

Hope this clarifies the situation. If you need any help, please let us know.

This doesn't help me. The plugin is for AVG Internet Security which I do not use, I'm on AVG Free. I have the latest firefox & AVG Free versions. The plug-in won't install because I"m on a different AVG software.
Thank you for letting us know.
Please monitor the situation and let us know if you need anything else.
It happens a dozen or more times a day in Firefox.

Yet I'm getting the popup without a paid subscription so something isn't right. So far it has only happened once today and I've rebooted so maybe that fixed it.
