From your description, it seems that few firewall settings needs to be modified on the AVG program that is on the server.
To modify, follow the below steps & let us know if it helps :
Open AVG - Menu - Settings - Full protection (left pane) - Enhanced firewall - System rules - Enable 'Allow windows file & printer sharing, remote desktop connections' (1st two options). If issue persists, you can try enabling 'Internet connection sharing mode' that is available in the settings page of firewall.
I have AVG Internet Security installed on a computer that acts a QuickBooks server for QuickBooks workstations on the network. When I have AVG Internet Security active on the server computer, the workstations can't access files from the server. How do I fix this without turning AVG Internet Security off?
