AVG Internet Security - Update required. Click Fix It. Indicates update successful but still shows t

I was also running into the same issue as listed above.  I went in, uninstalled it, wasn't able to due to some error.  I read up on similar posts and ran the AVG Remover tool, then the AVG Clear tool, then the AVG Remove tool again, but no matter what I do, I'm not able to reinstall any products now.  I paid for a yearly subscription, but if I can't install the program, then I would like to request a refund.

I have the paid version of AVG Internet Security and have had it for several years. AVG Internet Security indicates that an update is required. I click on Fix It. It comes back and indicates that the update was successful. But it still shows that an update is required. The component is under Computer Protection and when I click on that it shows the components under Computer Protection. The component that requires the update is the Antivirus component. I have also restarted my computer after the update even though it does not ask me to do so.

 

I had the same problem before a little over a month ago (never had a problem before). I ran the Repair on AVG both times but this time it did not work. Why am I having this problem, HOW DO I FIX IT and how do I stop it from doing it again?

I'm having the same issue…   AVG on both my laptops is says update successful… but then still shows it is not updated…

I ran the AVG clearer and remover tool then installed AVG from the article you gave me the link for. During the install it indicated that it had encountered an error but still asked me to restart my computer which I have done. AVG Internet Security is NOT installed so now my computer is NOT protected at all.

WHAT DO I DO NOW???

I have exactly the same problem as the 2 previous comments, If i ignore the fault message, is my m/c still protected? Jonatan.

We suggest to use our AVG clear and remover tool by referring to this article to remove the AVG Internet Security and its traces, then reinstall the latest version of AVG Internet Security application by following the instructions given in this article and check with the issue
