Have exact same problem.
However the described solution was not applicable to me.
I was unable to stop any of the AVG services or end any of it's tasks.
The AVG screen is blank, whether you call it explicitely or it decides to pop up by itself.
Moreover, I was unable to uninstall this product by any direct means available in Win 10 Pro.
Please advise. I'm seriously considering cancelling my subscription and asking for a refund. Thanks.

Hi, for the past few days, AVG Internet Security keeps popping up as one or more white/blank rectangles that hover above all other applications and that I have to kill via Alt-F4.
Nothing is displayed in this blank window and if I try to explicitly open the application, the same white rectangle just appears.
I thought I might try to update, but I can't even see any application menu!
Has anyone encountered the same problem and eventually know of a solution? I'm on Windows 10 and running the latest version of AVG Internet Security.
