First i would like to say AVG WOULD BE THE WORST ONE FOR LOOKING FOR A CONTACT
i WILL NOT BE UPDATING MY AVG SECURITY  IT WOULD BE THE WORST ONE I HAVE HAD 
EVERY TIME I OPEN THE INTERNET YOU ARE OFFERING ME ANOTHER PART TO MY SECURITY FOR A PRICE   WHAT DOES MY SECURITY COVER ME FOR YOU HAVE SECURITY / TURN-UPS / DRIVER UPDATE / WHATS NEXT DO YOU WANT MONEY FOR 
THEN I GO IN TO SEE WHEN IT LAST SCANNED MY COMPUTER – A WEEK AGO  – DO BUGS ONLY COME ONCE A WEEK 
THIS AVG WAS RECOMENTED TO ME FROM A REPAIRER AS ONE OF THE BEST BUT NEVER SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST  i WANT BE RENEWING AFTER MY MEMBERSHIP RUNS OUT  WITH YOU AND I WILL NOT RECOMENT YOU TO ANYONE

This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to clarify this for you.
Usually, AVG program provides pop up for other AVG programs, in order to improvise/personalize the existing program.
The program also allows us to manage/disable notifications by : Opening AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - General - Personal privacy - Uncheck 'Show pop up offers for other AVG programs & 3rd party programs' (2 options).
Regarding the scan status, it might not be reflected as a scan might be running in background or the scan result windows would not be closed properly by clicking on Finish or Done.
You can restart the computer once to check if the last virus scan time is reported correctly.
