A partial fix by AVG caused my Computer to fail to start-up. A Technician was called. He remedied the situation and showed me where an AVG programme had caused the failure. This cost me $75.00AUD. Now you say that you won't re-imburse me my costs. Have you any idea of the Consumer Laws here in Australia? I'd say NOT.
Please give me the email address of AVG here in Australia so that I can communicate with someone who understands our law.
You understand my frustration? I don’t think you do!
After trying your suggested “Repair” NOTHING works!
My computer won’t even start up.
I’m going to have to call a technician.
AVG can pay for that!
FFS!
Hi Matt,
I can understand your frustration.
I would like to inform you that the Performance scan is embedded with the General Scan and is a Report which is given after each step of scan of your computer's performance. It is a recommendation from AVG to increase your computer's performance.
I also see that you have AVG TuneUp-Unlimited and AVG Secure VPN only under your account and I'm unable to locate any AVG Internet Security. Could you tell me if you're using a Trial version of AVG Internet Security?
If yes, I suggest you repair your AVG and check if that fixes the issue. Here is an article for reference: How to Repair AVG
You can install and activate the AVG TuneUp-Unlimited by following the steps provided in this article: Download, install, and activate AVG TuneUp - Unlimited

I have AVG Internet Security which permanently shows "Protection is disabled". After you hit "Fix Now" it goes to "Update" but nothing really happens. If you scan the computer the browser add-ons are "OK"; the viruses & other malware show "no threats found" and then when performance issues is hit It comes up and tries and sell you "AVG PC Tuner" (but I have AVG TuneUp"). I mean WTF?
More AVG BS!
Matt,
This isn't the experience we want you to have.
I have forwarded the case to the senior team for getting a suggestion.
Please keep checking this post to know about the status.
Your patience is much appreciated.
Dear Wheelbarrow with a B,
How could I reboot my computer when AVG took hold of my computer and NOTHING worked???
It has just cost me $75AUD for a technician to come and fix what AVG had done.
Do you think that I will EVER TRUST AVG ever again.
I want to get compensated for $75AUD for the cost of fixing what AVG had f…d up!
"How to Repair AVG" - another AVG fantasy programme.
I'm over all this BS.
Just give me back all of my money and I will look for something that works.
AVG doesn't.
PS. Dismiss all the AVG employees who have suggested repairs to my downloaded programmes. They should go back to school and learn their jobs!
