I apologize for the inconvenience. Please follow the below steps to check whether it fixes the issue with the downloads:
1) Open AVG Internet Security dashboard, click on "Menu–>Settings-- >Components–>Firewall–>Customize"
2) To the right of "Policies" scroll down to click on "System Rules"
3) Enable the option for "Windows file sharing and printing", "allow remote desktop connection" and the last entry "Enable stealth mode"
4) Below policies, click on "Network Profiles", to the right click on the network connection and change the profile to "Private" if it is set to "Public".
If the issue persists after following those steps. please disable AVG completely and check the status.
