Thank you.

My hard drive is almost full.  I only have  a few hundred MBs of space left.  AVG antivirus occupies 288GB of hard drive, my own data files occupy a further 100GB and the remaining system files bring the total to almost the disc capacity of 465GB.  Is there anything I can do to release space?

Thanks for your prompt reply.  In answer to your question, I don't know how long this has been going on.  I only noticed when the c: drive showed as red on file manager laScreenshot of antivirus directoryst week.  I attach the requested screenshot and I can also inform you that the culprit is sub-directory "log" which is itself showing 288GB.

Thank you so much for this tips. I work at Clipping Expert Asia (https://clippingexpertasia.com) as marketing manager. I faced the same problem in my office laptop. Now I have solved it using the above method.

I've now found the problem which I hope you can help me with.  There is a file named "WPR_initiated_WprApp_WPR System Collector.etl" which was created on 10th April and shows as about 300GB!
