AVG is trying to connect to

I get this constantly. Some have verified certificates and some don't but I get about 10 a session along with pressure to sign up to more AVG products…all of which I already have!!!

For such smart programmers the software installation seems a bit dumb. I have added my subscription to each product…more than once yet still I get asked.

My real gripe is why are you asking me if I should allow a service to connect to a port, etc. I'm not a white hat. I pay for a subscription so that you can protect me not ask me permission each time there's a decision to be made.

Also, some of my websites don't load anymore (for about a week now). I took everything off, reset settings, etc and I can get on the internet fine with AVG free but not with a complete suite of products. On the verge of going somewhere else.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Hello Gordon,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We are really sorry to know that you are receiving offers to purchase more AVG products and receiving notification to ask permission for ports.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We'll certainly check and help you out.
We have classified AVG products into protection, performance and privacy. AVG is well known for it's protection software but most of the user not aware of the other AVG Products which could be so helpful. In order to make aware of our other products and it's use, this feature is added as a campaign. A lot of our customers benefitted through this service, if you would like to disable it, I can help you with that. Please follow the below steps to disable AVG offers: | AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=avg-antivirus-popup-notifications&q=popup&supportType=home)
When Port Scan Alerts is enabled, Enhanced Firewall alerts you if hackers or malware attempt to scan your PC for open ports.
We recommend keeping Port Scan Alerts enabled at all times. To enable this feature, go to Web & Email ▸ Enhanced Firewall ▸ Premium. Ensure that the slider under Port Scan Alerts is green (ON).
Even when Port Scan Alerts is enabled, it is never active when you are connected to a trusted network. This is because many home security solutions need to scan for open ports for legitimate reasons. For example, Wi-Fi Inspector in AVG AntiVirus scans the PCs on your network for open ports to keep you informed about potential vulnerabilities.
When Port Scan Alerts is enabled, it activates automatically only when you are connected to an untrusted network. This ensures your protection, while avoiding frequent and potentially intrusive false-positive alerts.
If Port Scan Alerts detects a threat, AVG informs you that the network might not be safe. You can choose one of the actions below in the dialog that appears:
–Disconnect and block this network (recommended): Immediately disconnect from the current network and block any future connections to the network. The Blocked message is shown next to this network on the Networks screen. To unblock the network, select Show settings ▸ Unblock.
–Stay connected but block the suspicious device: Remain connected to the network, but block the device that is being used to scan your ports. This allows you to continue using the internet, but is not recommended because additional threats may be present on the network. You can manage blocked devices via ☰ Menu ▸ Settings ▸ Basic protection ▸ Enhanced Firewall ▸ Blocked devices.
–Ignore this potential threat — I trust this network: Take no action. We do not recommend selecting this option unless you are certain that the network is secure.
I request you check if you are connected to trusted network. If you are getting port alert notification in trusted network, let me know.
Regarding the issue with accessing website, could you please provide me with more details about the situation, and I will do my best to help you resolve it efficiently.
Are you facing issue with particular website only or all websites?
