I am using AVG ultimate and I recently needed to download a project via git / update project maven / execute a maven command / and eventually change the windows user name because it had a space in the name and create an issue with code build. All of those steps had issues with them AS THEY SHOULD because maven is a software on your computer trying to download a bunch of different jar files from all around repositories of the internet. This bit is all fixable via disabling the AVG protection. The last bit of my work thought - changing the user name folder to eliminate the space since it broke my software build was impossible until I uninstalled AVG . AVG is locking files on your system even when all protection is turned off. I am here to raise the question of the possibility to introduce a kill switch for AVG and disable all it's services and processes when needed (complete stop of the software) and where should I fill out a form or create a feature request ?. I think it will be very handy in situations like the one I encountered myself in.
P.S. I'm generally happy with the overall performance and low price of AVG Ultimate.
