What is the exact error that you receive for the AVG Update?
I have just removed Windows 10 and am back on Windows 7.
I cannot get AVG to update and am unprotected

We can see that you have mentioned on another post that when you run the remover tool it says "c:/Program Files(x86)\AVG\Framework\1\avgsysx.fmw.1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your systems admin., or the software vendor for support"
Could you please confirm whether you are running the remover tool on the Windows 7 PC?

For this error it is necessary to completely reinstall AVG program using the AVG remover tool.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
